Om Birla lauds Maheshwari Samaj for social service in Jaipur

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla attended the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Maheshwari Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre in Jaipur. During the event, Birla commended the Maheshwari Samaj for its long-standing history of service in education, healthcare, and social welfare.

Birla noted that the community has been active in nation-building since before India’s independence, citing the establishment of schools and dharamshalas as early as 1926. He emphasized that social organizations play a vital role in national development alongside the government. He expressed hope that the new medical institute will provide affordable and accessible healthcare, particularly for individuals in remote areas.
