OM System releases firmware update for three M.Zuiko lenses

OM System has released a firmware update for three M.Zuiko telephoto lenses, enabling high-speed continuous shooting of up to 50 frames per second (fps). The update applies to the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4.0 PRO, the 100-400mm f/5.0-6.3 IS II, and the 150-600mm f/5.0-6.3 IS.

This high-speed capability is available in Sequential Shooting SH2 and Pro Capture SH2 modes when the lenses are paired with OM-1, OM-1 Mark II, or OM-3 camera bodies. The Pro Capture SH2 mode allows photographers to buffer images following a half-press of the shutter button, capturing frames that occur before the full press.

Users can perform the update via a desktop using OM Workspace software or through a smartphone using the OI.Share application. The update specifically enhances the performance of existing hardware rather than introducing new optical capabilities.
