OM SYSTEM to release PEN mirrorless camera in late October

OM SYSTEM is set to release the OM SYSTEM PEN, a mirrorless camera inspired by the classic PEN series, in late October. The camera features a 20.37 million pixel Live MOS sensor and modern autofocus capabilities, including 121-point cross-type phase detection and AI subject recognition. Designed for portability, the device weighs approximately 393g and includes a vari-angle monitor for selfies and video recording.

In conjunction with the camera release, Hakuba Photoproducts will launch a dedicated LCD protection film for the OM SYSTEM PEN and Olympus PEN E-P7 in early October 2026. The film offers 95.6% light transmittance, a 3H hard coat for scratch resistance, and anti-static and fluorine coatings to repel fingerprints and water. The product is priced at 1,970 yen and includes a specialized screen cleaner.
