Łomża Public Library extends photography competition deadline

The Municipal Public Library in Łomża has announced an extension for the photography competition titled ‘Twórcza przestrzeń autorki’ (Author's Creative Space). This competition is part of the ‘HERstory – discover women's strength in books’ project, which is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage through the Culture Promotion Fund.

The competition is open to women and girls aged 16 and older. Participants are tasked with capturing a photograph of their creative or reading space—a place used for reading, writing, or literary creation. Entries can include up to three photos in TIFF format at 200 DPI, accompanied by a brief description of why the space is inspiring. The new deadline for submissions is September 30, 2026. Total cash prizes for winners amount to 2,000 PLN, and selected works will be displayed in the library, on social media, and on the institution's website.
