Łomża to receive new railway station following 9.6 million PLN contract

PKP S.A. has signed a contract to design and build a new railway station in Łomża, following the return of passenger trains to the city after a 30-year hiatus. The contract, valued at over 9.6 million PLN gross, was awarded to the firm Wimaks Toczyłowski Sp. k. from Józefów.

The project will be executed using modular technology and is expected to be completed by 2028. The new facility will feature a climate-controlled waiting room, public toilets, technical facilities, and vending machine spaces. Additionally, an outdoor covered waiting area will be provided.

Infrastructure improvements include real-time passenger information displays integrated with PKP Polskich Linii Kolejowych systems, approximately 25 parking spaces (including Kiss & Ride and disabled access), bicycle stands, and a bike repair station. The surrounding area will be secured with an advanced camera system featuring tracking capabilities.
