Łomża waste management officials urge residents to follow regulations

The manager of the Selective Municipal Waste Collection Point (PSZOK) in Łomża, Krzysztof Kotowski, has issued an appeal to residents to strictly follow the facility's regulations regarding waste disposal.

Kotowski noted that many residents do not understand the limitations on what types of waste can be accepted and have reacted with aggression when refused. He clarified that while the facility accepts items such as paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, electronic equipment, batteries, tires, and certain paints or toners, it cannot accept all types of waste. He emphasized that paying municipal fees does not entitle residents to bypass national and local disposal regulations. Staff can provide guidance on how to dispose of prohibited items, but such services may incur commercial fees.
