Oman Air appoints Nasser Al Sharji as new CEO
Nasser bin Ahmed Al Sharji has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, effective September 1. He succeeds Con Korfiatis, who is stepping down after approximately two years in the role. Korfiatis will transition into an advisory position within the state-owned airline.
Al Sharji brings over 25 years of experience across aviation, logistics, energy, and public services. His previous leadership roles include serving as the Acting CEO of Oman Airports and CEO of Transom (Oman Ground Handling). He has also held senior positions at Asyad Group and OQ.
Oman Air Chairman Saeed Al Mawali stated that Al Sharji’s extensive administrative experience and track record in organizational transformation are expected to strengthen the national carrier’s position and continue its progress toward financial sustainability and operational efficiency.
