Oman businesses adopt green building and continuity consultancy
The construction and operational sectors in Oman are facing increasing pressure to adopt specialized consultancy services to meet national strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
In alignment with Oman Vision 2040 and the commitment to net zero emissions by 2050, sustainable construction has become a strategic necessity. Green building consultants are increasingly utilized to navigate the Roznah rating system, the Oman Building Code, and energy efficiency requirements to ensure long-term operational savings and compliance.
Simultaneously, organizations are prioritizing business continuity management (BCM) to mitigate risks from cyber threats, supply chain disruptions, and extreme weather events. New regulations from the Authority for Public Services Regulation now mandate comprehensive risk management for licensed entities in the electricity, water, and sanitation sectors, with noncompliance penalties reaching up to 500,000 Omani riyals.
