Oman energy sector shifts toward sustainability and new corporate identity
Energy Oman has unveiled a new corporate identity to reflect its role in the nation’s economic ecosystem and its commitment to a sustainable energy transition. According to CEO Mazin Rashid Al Lamki, the rebranding represents a qualitative shift in how the company presents itself both locally and internationally while focusing on governance, responsibility, and best practices.
The company’s mandate includes managing national resources, improving sector efficiency, and directing investments to support the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors. This aligns with broader national goals to boost economic returns and support local content.
Parallel to these energy sector shifts, Oman is seeing an increased demand for green building consultancy. As part of the Oman Vision 2040 and the commitment to net zero emissions by 2050, sustainable construction has become a strategic priority. Experts are increasingly needed to navigate regulatory frameworks such as the Roznah rating system and the Oman Building Code to ensure compliance and environmental efficiency in projects, particularly in regions like Muscat.
