Oman hosts economic initiatives in Salalah to boost SME trade and food security
Oman and Bahrain are advancing economic cooperation through several initiatives in the Dhofar Governorate. The ninth Bahrain–Oman Products Exhibition recently took place in Salalah, featuring approximately 30 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from both nations. The event showcased diverse products ranging from traditional handicrafts and fashion to perfumes and household items, aiming to expand market opportunities and strengthen bilateral trade and entrepreneurship.
Additionally, a major Food Security Forum is scheduled to be held in Salalah, organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources. The forum serves as a platform to highlight investment opportunities in Oman's agricultural, livestock, and fisheries sectors. An accompanying exhibition will feature around 100 participants focusing on modern agricultural technologies, logistics, and food industries to increase the sector's contribution to the national economy.
