Oman implements economic reforms and green building priorities
Oman is implementing strategic initiatives to diversify its economy and enhance its business environment under the Oman Vision 2040 framework. Following directives from Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultanate is establishing the National Programme for Enhancing the Business Environment to Attract Investment. This program aims to streamline government services, improve digital integration between entities, and simplify procedures for company establishment, licensing, and trade to reduce costs and administrative burdens for investors.
Parallel to these economic reforms, sustainable construction has become a strategic priority to meet environmental goals. As buildings contribute significantly to energy consumption and carbon emissions, there is an increasing emphasis on green building practices. This includes the use of specialized consultancy to navigate international certification systems such as LEED, WELL, BREEAM, and EDGE to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency in new developments.
