Oman mandates ISO 22301 for utilities, driving business continuity consulting

The Sultanate of Oman is confronting rising threats such as cyber‑attacks, natural disasters and supply‑chain disruptions. In response, the Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR) has issued a directive requiring licensed entities in the electricity, water and wastewater sectors to implement comprehensive risk‑management and business‑continuity systems within six months, with fines of up to 500,000 Omani rials for non‑compliance.
