Oman unveils RO 1.95 billion investment opportunities in Dhofar

Oman has unveiled investment opportunities in the Dhofar region totaling approximately RO 1.95 billion. These opportunities are being presented through the ‘Invest in Oman’ digital platform in collaboration with several government entities, including the Dhofar Municipality, the Environment Authority, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.

The most significant project is the Future Salalah City, valued at roughly RO 1.9 billion. Spanning up to 10 square kilometers, this integrated urban development aims to combine residential, commercial, healthcare, educational, and hospitality facilities to support urban expansion and economic growth.

Other notable projects include the Sahool Al-Rathath urban development in the Atin area, valued at RO 40 million, and the Botanical Memory Garden at Razat Plain, an ecotourism project estimated at RO 4 million.

In parallel with these economic developments, there is an increasing emphasis on business resilience within the Omani market. As part of the Vision 2040 economic diversification goals, organizations are increasingly utilizing business continuity management (BCM) and ISO 22301 standards to mitigate risks such as cyber threats, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory shifts.
