Omar Abdullah reviews Darbar Move arrangements for Jammu transition

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has reviewed the logistical and security arrangements for the upcoming Darbar Move, the biannual tradition of shifting the Jammu and Kashmir capital between Srinagar and Jammu.

To facilitate the transition of offices from Srinagar to Jammu, the Chief Minister directed the Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC) and the Traffic Department to organize a convoy on October 31 and November 1, 2026. The movement aims to ensure the safe and efficient transport of employees and equipment.

High-level discussions included security measures for residential areas, traffic management along the National Highway, and the provision of medical assistance, including doctors and ambulances, along the convoy route. Officials are also coordinating essential services, food, and hospitality to support employees during the relocation.
