Omar Aziz outlines security and urbanization proposals for Amazonas

Omar Aziz, the PSD candidate for the Governor of Amazonas, has outlined several key proposals for his campaign. His coalition, Força Amazonas, has secured the largest share of radio and television advertising time, totaling 3 minutes and 33 seconds, due to the number of federal deputies elected by its member parties.

Aziz has proposed a new urbanization program for Manacapuru, modeled after the Prosamim initiative, to assist families living in flood-prone areas like the Correnteza neighborhood. He also pledged to improve water supply infrastructure in the municipality.

In terms of public security, Aziz introduced the ‘Ronda nos Rios’ program. This initiative aims to establish fluvial bases and support points along major river routes, such as the Solimões and Madeira, to combat piracy, drug trafficking, and environmental crimes. Additionally, Aziz has advocated for the regulated exploration of gold in the Madeira River region as an economic alternative for local municipalities.
