Omar Aziz leads Amazonas gubernatorial race in recent polls

In the Amazonas gubernatorial race, Senator Omar Aziz (PSD) maintains a lead according to recent polling. An AtlasIntel survey shows Aziz with 31% of the vote, followed by Maria do Carmo (PL) at 27.4% and Roberto Cidade (União Brasil) at 18.8%. A separate Paraná Pesquisas study places Aziz at 29.6%, with Roberto Cidade in second at 21.5% and Maria do Carmo at 19.4%.

Aziz has outlined several policy proposals, including a strategic development plan focused on indigenous bioeconomy and ethnodevelopment. He also aims to strengthen professional qualification through the Amazonas Technological Education Center (Cetam) and support the hiring of 250 municipal guards in Tapauá.

In Maranhão, candidate Orleans Brandão (MDB) has been campaigning through the state's interior. His proposals include regionalizing healthcare services, increasing hemodialysis capacity to 1,000 chairs, and constructing a maternity hospital in the Baixada region. He also advocates for expanding full-time schools and implementing a video-monitoring program across all 217 municipalities.
