Omar Cooper Jr. wins consecutive NFL Rookie of the Week awards

New York Jets rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. has earned the Pepsi Rookie of the Week award for the second consecutive week. His recent performances include five receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins, following a six-reception, 103-yard, one-touchdown game against the New England Patriots.

Cooper Jr. is only the eighth player since the AFL-NFL merger to record multiple games of 100 or more receiving yards within his first three career games. This achievement follows an early-season ankle injury that limited his initial appearances. He currently maintains a season average of 20.7 yards per reception.
