Omar El Saei praised for talent but urged to improve decision-making

Media personality Mohamed Fares has praised the technical abilities of Al Ahly midfielder Omar El Saei, noting that the player possesses distinct individual skills that are increasingly rare in Egyptian football.

Fares highlighted that El Saei’s previous experiences with high-pressure clubs, such as Ismaily and Al Masry, have prepared him for the intense fan expectations at Al Ahly. However, he identified key areas for improvement, specifically regarding El Saei’s decision-making on the pitch and his ability to manage the tempo of a match. Fares suggested that the player often maintains a single rhythm rather than adjusting his pace to the flow of the game.

To reach his full potential, Fares recommended that El Saei model his playstyle after teammate Marwan Attia, focusing on simplifying his performance and making quicker, more effective decisions. He concluded that if head coach Hussein Ammouta maintains confidence in the player, intensive technical work should focus on developing El Saei’s tactical thinking and ball control.
