Omar Marmoush debuts for Manchester City in Community Shield loss

Omar Marmoush made his season debut for Manchester City during the Community Shield final against Arsenal. Entering the match as a substitute for Erling Haaland in the 53rd minute, Marmoush played 37 minutes as Manchester City attempted to recover from a three-goal deficit.

Arsenal secured the trophy with goals from Riccardo Calafiori, Kai Havertz, and Martin Ødegaard. Statistically, Marmoush completed all 11 of his passes with a 100% success rate, though he did not record any shots on goal, assists, or goals during his time on the pitch.

Following the final whistle, Marmoush sought medical assistance from the Manchester City medical staff due to pain experienced during the closing minutes of the match. The extent of any injury remains unclear as the club awaits a full medical evaluation. Manchester City is scheduled to begin their Premier League campaign against Bournemouth on August 23.
