Omar Ojeda named assistant diving coach at Penn State

Penn State head swimming and diving coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron has appointed Omar Ojeda as the new assistant diving coach.

Ojeda joins the program following a tenure at Liberty University, where he served as both a volunteer and graduate assistant coach. His previous experience includes serving as the head diving coach at the University of Arizona from 2011 to 2017, during which he earned three Pac-12 Diving Coach of the Year honors and mentored three NCAA national champions.

His professional background also includes significant international work, having coached Olympic-level divers from Puerto Rico and Mexico. Additionally, he has served as an assistant coach and talent development director for the Mexican National Team and has conducted technical clinics for organizations such as World Aquatics and the Brazilian Diving Federation.
