Peronist women in Concordia demand leadership roles within PJ
Peronist women in Concordia, Argentina, are demanding greater political influence and decision-making power within the local Partido Justicialista (PJ) structure. During a recent meeting involving various internal sectors and labor organizations, participants expressed dissatisfaction with the current distribution of power, noting that women are often relegated to grassroots mobilization rather than leadership roles.
Former National Deputy María de los Ángeles Petit highlighted that while women constitute more than half of the electorate in Entre Ríos, this does not translate to proportional representation in party leadership. The movement seeks to ensure that gender parity is not merely a formal requirement for electoral lists but a functional reality in the party's reorganization process as it looks toward the 2027 elections.
