Omari Kellyman transfers from Chelsea to Strasbourg
Omari Kellyman has completed a permanent transfer from Chelsea to Strasbourg, marking the third player move between the two clubs under the BlueCo ownership group this summer. The 20-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract at Stade de la Meinau. Chelsea reportedly retains a buy-back clause for the player.
Kellyman, who joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2024, struggled to secure senior appearances at Stamford Bridge but saw success during a loan spell at Cardiff City, where he earned the EFL Young Player of the Month award.
The movement between the clubs follows a pattern of recent transactions under BlueCo; while Kellyman moves to France, Chelsea has acquired Valentin Barco and Emanuel Emegha from Strasbourg for a combined $75 million. This follows previous loan moves involving Filip Jorgensen and Genesis Antwi. Strasbourg remains under UEFA financial scrutiny following a fine for overspending last season.
