Omega Healthcare Investors Expands Senior Housing Portfolio and Reports Strong Q2 2026 Results

Omega Healthcare Investors (NYSE: OHI) announced its second‑quarter 2026 financial results. Net income rose to $380 million, or $1.19 per diluted share, while adjusted funds from operations (FFO) were $0.83 per share, up from $0.77 a year earlier. The REIT lifted its quarterly dividend to $0.68 per share effective Aug. 3 and reported $126 million of new investments, chiefly $110 million in real‑estate acquisitions and $16 million in loan fundings. It also completed the sale of 18 CommuniCare skilled‑nursing facilities for $480 million.

In the same period Omega added $58 million of senior‑living assets, purchasing three communities in Rhode Island and a standalone facility in Tennessee. Chief Investment Officer Vikas Gupta highlighted the growing demand from the aging baby‑boomer cohort, calling senior housing a “resilient” asset class. Outgoing CEO Taylor Pickett confirmed his plan to step down, with President Matthew Gourmand slated to assume the chief‑executive role on Oct. 1.

Saber Healthcare Group became Omega’s largest operating partner after taking over 20 facilities previously run by Ciena Healthcare, further expanding the company’s operating‑portfolio footprint in the United‑States and the United‑Kingdom.
