OMEJ launches vehicle assistance service in Ciudad Juárez

The Operadora Municipal de Estacionamientos de Juárez (OMEJ) has launched a new driver assistance service in its managed parking lots. Using portable devices called ‘Jimmys’, trained staff can provide battery jumpstarts and inflate low tires for motorists.

The program is currently in its first stage, covering five parking locations, including the Municipal Presidency. OMEJ plans to expand this service to all 14 of its managed parking lots and potentially to municipal impound lots.

In a review of recent operations, Director General Jaime Flores Castañeda reported that OMEJ has expanded from 10 to 14 parking spaces and implemented security upgrades such as surveillance cameras. The agency also noted progress in vehicle release programs at impound lots and community involvement in local cleaning and reforestation initiatives.
