Ometepe Island to host 17th annual Expo in Altagracia

The 17th edition of Expo Ometepe is scheduled to take place from September 25 to 27 in the municipality of Altagracia on Ometepe Island, Nicaragua. The event aims to promote the island's natural beauty, culture, and local tourism to support economic development and improve the quality of life for residents.

Organized by the Nicaraguan Institute of Tourism (INTUR) in collaboration with various government ministries and local authorities, the festival will feature a diverse program. Activities include hiking at Maderas Volcano, environmental workshops, sports competitions, art presentations, and children's painting contests. The event will also include musical performances by national groups and cultural parades to celebrate the region's identity and traditions.
