The death toll from the massive wildfire that struck the Omiš region in Croatia on August 13 has risen to four. The latest victim, a 41-year-old woman, passed away at the KBC Sestre milosrdnice hospital in Zagreb due to severe burns.

The deceased include 34-year-old Dragana Antešević, a seasonal worker from Bosnia and Herzegovina; 58-year-old Katica Nikolić; and retired firefighter Drago Lelas. The fire, which broke out near Lokva Rogoznica, spread rapidly due to strong winds, covering an area approximately 23 kilometers long and 1.5 kilometers wide.

Approximately 1,000 hectares were burned, threatening homes, vehicles, and agricultural land. More than 40 people were injured in the incident, with several requiring intensive care.
