Omie launches corporate card and credit fund for SMEs

Omie, an ERP provider for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has announced an expansion into the financial market through the launch of a corporate card and a new credit fund. The company has structured a Receivables Investment Fund (FIDC) with an initial capital injection of R$ 75 million, aiming to reach R$ 200 million by 2027.

The fund is designed to offer credit for the anticipation of receivables to Omie's 200,000 clients. To protect senior quota investors, Omie will act as the junior quota holder, absorbing the primary default risk. The initiative is being carried out in partnership with Banco BV, which served as the lead coordinator and first investor, and QI Tech, which will act as the fund's administrator and manager.

Omie intends to leverage its real-time access to client financial data—such as revenue and cash flow—to provide more agile and precise credit granting, aiming to reduce information asymmetry in the SME segment.
