Omoda 7 PHEV launches in Malaysia and Pakistan

Omoda and Jaecoo are expanding their plug-in hybrid SUV presence in Malaysia and Pakistan with the launch of the Omoda 7 (C7) PHEV.

In Malaysia, Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia (OJMY) has opened bookings for the Omoda C7 PHEV, with an estimated price of RM180,000. Expected to launch in Q4, the vehicle will be locally assembled in Shah Alam. The SUV features a Super Hybrid System (SHS) with a 1.5L turbocharged engine and an electric motor producing a combined 265kW (355hp). It includes an 18.3kWh LFP battery offering a 95km pure electric range and a total combined range of up to 1,250km.

In Pakistan, NexGen Auto, a subsidiary of the Nishat Group, has revealed the ex-factory price for the OMODA 7 SHS-P at PKR 10,649,000. The vehicle utilizes a similar hybrid setup, pairing a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with an electric motor to deliver approximately 341HP. It features an 18.4 kWh battery providing over 90km of electric range and a combined range of up to 1,250km. The brand has seen significant growth in Pakistan, surpassing 10,000 deliveries within its first year of operation.
