Omoda debuts Omoda 4 compact SUV at Paris Motor Show

Chinese automotive brands Omoda and Jaecoo, under the Chery International Group, have debuted the Omoda 4 compact SUV at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The model is positioned as an entry-level crossover designed to compete with established models like the Volkswagen T-Roc and Toyota C-HR.

The Omoda 4 features a ‘Cyber Mecha’ design language and will be offered in two electrified versions: a full hybrid utilizing the SHS-H Super Hybrid System and a pure electric model. The hybrid variant is expected to deliver approximately 224 hp, while the electric version is projected to offer a range exceeding 450 kilometers with a 67 kWh battery.

Global expansion plans for the Omoda 4 include a UK launch in 2027, with expected starting prices below £25,000. In Brazil, the brand has begun the homologation process for a 2027 release. Additionally, the brand is introducing a significant update to the Omoda 5, which will transition to exclusively hybrid and electric powertrains, featuring a redesigned interior with larger digital displays and enhanced technology.

Key interior features across the new lineup include high-tech cockpits with large vertical touchscreens, wireless charging, and AI-driven driver assistance systems.
