OMODA expands into ASEAN and Mauritius with AI‑driven SUV launches
On 27 July 2026 OMODA and JAECOO will host the “OMODA SUPER AI NIGHT” event in Indonesia, where the OMODA 4 – a cyber‑mecha‑styled SUV aimed at “CYBER LOHAS” – will make its ASEAN debut and demonstrate the full capabilities of its Super AI Smart Cockpit, including intent, habit, emotion and trend understanding.
In Mauritius, CFAO Mobility Mauritius unveiled the OMODA and JAECOO marques at a media evening titled “Experience of the Next Drive – Future and Freedom”. The launch featured the OMODA C5 gasoline crossover and the fully electric JAECOO J5 compact SUV. Both brands belong to China’s Chery Group, which recently reported cumulative global sales of over one million vehicles in under three years and April 2026 sales of 69,892 units, a 150 % increase year‑on‑year.
