Omoda QQ electric hatchback to launch in Brazil in 2027

The Omoda QQ, a fully electric hatchback, is scheduled to launch in Brazil in January 2027. Although it retains the QQ name, the new model is a complete departure from the previous Chery subcompact, featuring a different design and technical platform.

Built on the T12 platform, the vehicle measures approximately 4.20 meters in length and 1.81 meters in width, with a 2.70-meter wheelbase. It is expected to feature a rear motor producing roughly 122 to 123 hp and a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery of approximately 42.7 kWh. While the Chinese version claims a range of 420 km (CLTC), estimates for the Brazilian market suggest a range closer to 300 km following local homologation.

The interior is designed with a minimalist approach, highlighted by a 15.6-inch multimedia touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster. The model aims to compete in the compact electric segment against rivals such as the BYD Dolphin, Geely EX2, MG4 Urban, and GAC Aion UT.
