Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde reveals profit breakdown for ‘Mother’s Love’

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has disclosed the financial breakdown of her directorial debut, ‘Mother’s Love’. While the film achieved a nationwide gross of ₦103,094,663 during its cinema run, the amount accruing to the producers was ₦22,276,558.

Jalade-Ekeinde explained that the significant difference between the headline gross and the producer's share resulted from various deductions, including payments to exhibitors and distributors, print and advertising costs, Value Added Tax (VAT), entertainment tax, and withholding tax.

Following a prior commitment by her production company, RedHot Concepts, the entire ₦22.27 million in producer proceeds has been donated to Slum2School Africa, an NGO dedicated to improving educational access for children in underserved communities.
