Omoyele Sowore attends RCCG service and meets Pastor Adeboye

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), attended the National Thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) headquarters in Ebute Metta, Lagos. Sowore attended the service alongside AAC National Chairman Pastor Samuel Ajeigbe.

Following the service, Sowore held a private meeting with RCCG General Overseer Pastor Enoch Adeboye. Sowore stated that Adeboye offered prayers for him, noting that the pastor expressed confidence in his future triumph and follows his activities. Sowore remarked that this was his second meeting with Adeboye at the venue, the first occurring in 1996.

Sowore addressed criticisms from supporters of Peter Obi, known as ‘Obidients,’ regarding his recent political activities and church visit. He claimed that the reaction from these supporters indicates they are ‘unsettled’ by his growing political presence. Sowore also contrasted his reception at the church with that of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, alleging that while the APC officials received a restrained response, his arrival was met with excitement from church members.
