Omroep Gelderland launches 'Rondje Gelderland' TV series showcasing province's routes

Omroep Gelderland and the tourism partnership Gelderse streken have introduced a new television programme called Rondje Gelderland, which began airing on Monday 3 August. Presenters Frank Oosterwegel and Esther Stegeman guide viewers along the province’s cycling‑node network, highlighting characteristic landscapes, local entrepreneurs and residents.

The series follows fifteen curated routes, including the 57.6‑km "Luxe achter de Limes" line through Wijchen, and gives special attention to the Rivierengebied area with its dikes, rivers, castles and orchards. Production is a joint effort: Omroep Gelderland creates the broadcasts while the Gelderse streken contribute regional expertise. Additional content is provided on radio and online, and electric bicycles are being given away to audience members during the programme’s run.

The project aims to promote Gelderland’s diversity under the provincial campaign “Gelderland levert je mooie streken”, encouraging residents and visitors to explore the province by bike.
