Omroep MAX launches new animal program Beestenboel

Omroep MAX is launching a new television program titled ‘Beestenboel’, hosted by Janny van der Heijden and André van Duin. The series explores the relationship between humans and animals, featuring various experts, hobbyists, and animal stories.

The premiere episode, scheduled to air on Sunday, August 23, at 20:25 on NPO 1, focuses on the themes of life and death. Featured segments include a visit from a taxidermist, an encounter with a two-headed African tortoise, and a meeting with an urban beekeeper. The show also includes practical pet care tips from a veterinarian and archival footage from ‘Jan Wijdbeens Report’.
