OMRON to acquire OnLogic for $675 million
Japanese automation company OMRON Corp. has agreed to acquire US-based industrial computer manufacturer OnLogic and its parent company, Interlogic, in an all-cash transaction valued at $675 million. The acquisition is intended to bolster OMRON’s capabilities in edge computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and physical AI.
Under the terms of the agreement, OnLogic will operate as an independent business and maintain its headquarters in South Burlington, Vermont. The deal is expected to close around January 2027, pending regulatory approvals.
OMRON aims to integrate OnLogic’s configurable, AI-capable industrial computing hardware with its existing sensing, control, motion, and robotics technologies. This strategy is part of OMRON’s SF2030 vision to transition from traditional factory automation toward manufacturing digitalization and data-driven intelligence.
