OMV Petrom convenes shareholders for budget and leadership updates

OMV Petrom has convened an ordinary general meeting of shareholders for November 6 to address leadership changes and budget adjustments.

Following the resignation of Alfred Stern from his position on the Supervisory Board, the company is seeking to appoint a new member. Emma Delaney, the new CEO and President of the Board of OMV, has taken over the leadership of the Board of Directors at OMV Petrom on an interim basis. Delaney, an Irish national, is the first woman and the first non-Austrian or German national to lead OMV.

Additionally, shareholders will vote on an updated investment budget for 2026. The company, which has a market capitalization of 73 billion lei, previously planned record investments exceeding 9 billion lei for 2026. Key focus areas include the Refining and Marketing segment, sustainable aviation fuel, green hydrogen, and the Neptun Deep offshore project.

OMV Aktiengesellschaft holds a 51.15% stake in OMV Petrom, while Romanian shareholders, including the state through the Ministry of Energy, hold approximately 46%.
