On and atmos announce Karesansui-inspired sneaker collaboration

Swiss sportswear brand On and Tokyo-based retailer atmos have announced a new collaboration model, the ‘Cloudmonster 1 WP atmos’. The design draws inspiration from Karesansui, the traditional Japanese dry garden style, utilizing color palettes that evoke sand and stone to blend traditional aesthetics with modern urban design.

The footwear is based on the waterproof Cloudmonster 1 WP, featuring the brand’s CloudTec® cushioning system. The collaboration will be available in two atmos-exclusive colors: ‘Dew & Olive’ and ‘Eclipse & Olive’.

A special event, ‘atmoscon 2026’, will be held at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Sankaku Hiroba from October 31 to November 1. The event will feature an interactive ‘sand pattern machine’ that changes sand designs in response to sound frequencies. A limited pre-release will occur at the event, followed by a general release on November 7, 2026, priced at 28,600 yen.
