ONAS advances wastewater reclamation project for Grande Niayes

The Office national de l’assainissement du Sénégal (ONAS) is advancing a project to supply treated wastewater from the Cambérène treatment plant to the market gardening zones of Grande Niayes.

To facilitate this, the company ERTHEG/GTHE will perform road crossing works on the route connecting the Cambérène intersection to the Gueule Tapée market. The technical work involves installing a DN500 cast iron pipe and a DN315 PVC pipe.

To minimize traffic disruption, the work is scheduled to take place overnight. Marking of the affected areas will begin on the night of Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 PM, with completion and site restoration expected by 8:00 AM on Sunday, September 13. During this period, motorists can use a detour via street CF 03. ONAS has requested public cooperation to mitigate potential inconveniences during the intervention.
