Oncotrail charity race sets participation record in Palafrugell

The 13th edition of Oncotrail, a solidarity sporting event, has reached a record level of participation with 394 teams and 3,483 participants set to compete in Palafrugell. The event involves a 100-kilometer challenge through Baix Empordà, Costa Brava, and Gavarres.

As of five days before the race, the event has already raised over 475,000 euros. Since its inception in 2013, the total funds raised by the event approach 3.7 million euros. The proceeds benefit the Fundació Oncolliga Girona, supporting cancer patient care, family assistance, and research initiatives such as those at IDIBGI.
