Onda opens Àgora cultural and university space
The city of Onda has inaugurated Àgora, a new cultural and university space designed to integrate higher education and community services. The facility serves as the new headquarters for the National University of Distance Education (UNED), officially establishing Onda as a university city.
Àgora provides various resources for both students and the general public, including a library, study rooms, and a citizen service center for administrative procedures. Currently, the space is open on weekday afternoons, with plans to expand operating hours in the near future.
The opening coincided with a seminar organized by the Generalitat Valenciana regarding Jaume I, marking the 750th anniversary of the monarch's death. During the inauguration, Mayor Carmina Ballester emphasized that the project aims to cultivate local talent and provide a meeting point for learning and creativity for new generations.
