Ondo Finance launches BlackRock-designed on-chain portfolio tokens

Ondo Finance has launched ‘Ondo Intelligent Portfolios’, a new suite of on-chain investment products that bundle diversified asset strategies into single, transferable tokens. The initial launch features three products—Ondo High Income (BLKHIon), Ondo Diversified Growth (BLKDIGon), and Ondo High Growth (BLKGRWon)—designed to provide exposure to baskets of tokenized equities and ETFs.

While the products are branded as ‘Powered by BlackRock’, the asset management firm’s role is limited to providing the underlying model portfolio strategies. Ondo Global Markets serves as the issuer, managing the smart contracts, programmatic rebalancing, and distribution. These portfolios are currently available only to eligible non-US investors in permitted jurisdictions.

The launch marks a shift in real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, moving from individual securities to entire managed strategies. Following the announcement, the ONDO token experienced significant market volatility, with price increases of approximately 27% to 32% and a substantial surge in daily trading volume.
