Ondo Finance launches SEC‑regulated tokenized BlackRock ETF and Micron stock on Ethereum

Ondo Finance announced the first third‑party tokenized U.S. securities that operate fully within the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s custodial framework. The platform tokenized BlackRock’s iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) and Micron Technology (MU) on the Ethereum blockchain, minting one‑to‑one tokens backed by the underlying shares held by traditional custodians through the SEC‑registered transfer agent Oasis Pro. Token holders receive the same shareholder rights as conventional investors, including proxy voting and corporate communications via a partnership with Broadridge. The tokenized securities market has expanded 13.6 times in the past year to about $1.67 billion, and Ondo’s launch aims to link blockchain technology with regulated capital‑markets infrastructure.

The offering demonstrates a model for regulated tokenized markets, preserving existing investor protections while providing on‑chain access to public‑market assets.
