Ondokuz Mayıs University announces accreditation for eight medical departments
Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) Faculty of Medicine is hosting the 3rd Neuromuscular Diseases Diagnostic Strategies Course and Symposium. During the opening of the event, Dean Prof. Dr. Murat Danacı highlighted the university's academic progress over its 50-year history.
Prof. Dr. Danacı announced that the university received accreditation from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) last year. Additionally, two of the faculty's programs, offered in both English and Turkish, have maintained accreditation for six years. Currently, approximately eight individual departments within the faculty have also achieved accreditation.
The symposium brings together scientists, clinicians, and young physicians from various regions of Turkey and abroad to discuss current scientific developments in the diagnosis of neuromuscular diseases. The program includes theoretical training, practical courses, and scientific sessions, and is set to conclude on Sunday, September 20, with sessions focused on neuromuscular ultrasonography.
