One dead and multiple attacks reported in Osório, Brazil on Sunday

On Sunday morning in the municipality of Osório, Brazil, three separate incidents unfolded. A residential fire on Rua Nélson Silveira de Souza in the city centre was investigated as possibly criminal and resulted in the death of a man found inside the burning home.

Later, police responded to a shooting at a house on Rua Silon Bobsin in the Medianeira district. The target, believed to be a fugitive from prison, returned fire and fled the scene; no injuries were reported. Shortly thereafter, a vehicle was discovered ablaze on Estrada José de Oliveira Ouriques near Capão da Areia. Authorities suspect the car may be linked to the earlier shooting, though it was empty at the time of the fire.

The three events prompted the deployment of police, military brigades, and firefighters, and investigations are ongoing to determine any connections between the incidents.
