Fatal car accident on the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno highway

A fatal car accident occurred on Sunday morning, October 25, on the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno highway. A blue Renault Twingo carrying three young men, aged 27, 28, and 29, overturned between the Interporto Est and Interporto Ovest interchanges while traveling toward Livorno.

Mirko Arrigoni, 27, was killed in the crash after being thrown from the vehicle. The two other occupants survived the impact and were transported to the Livorno hospital in yellow code condition.

Preliminary investigations suggest the driver may have made a sudden maneuver after slowing down due to traffic, causing the car to strike a side barrier and flip. The Pisa State Police are working to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident, and the Prosecutor's Office has opened a file to coordinate investigations.
