One Health seminars to address environmental and emerging health threats
Various international health seminars are being organized to address the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health under the One Health framework.
In Valladolid, Spain, the IV One Health Conference will take place on November 9 under the theme “Health and Environment.” The event, hosted by the Official College of Physicians of Valladolid in collaboration with the College of Veterinarians, will feature presentations on the impact of the environment on human health, transforming nature, and the ethics of climate change. Speakers include experts from the La Paz University Hospital, the Barcelona Public Health Agency, and AEMET.
In Valdivia, Chile, the V Seminar on Emerging and Reemerging Diseases is being organized by the Los Rios SEREMI of Health and the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences at UACh, with support from SENTINET. The seminar focuses on how climate change, ecosystem modifications, and human-animal interactions drive sanitary threats. It aims to strengthen collaborative responses to zoonotic diseases and epidemiological surveillance among public officials, academics, and agricultural professionals.
