One More Level faces stock market challenges despite ‘Valor Mortis’ success

The video game studio One More Level is experiencing a divergence between consumer reception and stock market performance following the release of its new title, ‘Valor Mortis’. The game has achieved commercial success on digital platforms, reaching the 5th position in the Global Top Sellers list on Steam and receiving positive reviews on both Steam and the PlayStation Store.

Despite the game’s popularity among players and high engagement on Twitch, One More Level’s shares on the Warsaw Stock Exchange have faced downward pressure, testing support levels at 2 PLN. Investors appear concerned by the concurrent player counts on Steam, which peaked at over 5,000 users. This may be influenced by the game’s simultaneous availability on the Game Pass subscription service, which can impact direct sales figures.

CEO Szymon Bryła expressed optimism regarding the launch, noting that the studio expects to reach the project’s break-even point in the near future. The management remains focused on strategic actions to convert the game’s critical and consumer success into sustainable market value and improved financial results.
