One Piece global popularity poll results name Monkey D. Luffy as winner
The results of the second global One Piece character popularity poll, titled ‘WORLD TOP 100’, were announced during the ONE PIECE DAY ’26 event in Chiba, Japan. The voting period ran from March 4 to June 11, 2026, involving over 13 million votes from a pool of 1,567 characters.
Monkey D. Luffy secured the first place with over 2.37 million points. Roronoa Zoro followed in second place with 2.14 million points, and Sanji took third with nearly 1.4 million points. Other top-ten characters include Nami, Trafalgar Law, Nico Robin, Portgas D. Ace, Shanks, Dracule Mihawk, and Crocodile.
To celebrate the results, several rewards were announced: the top 15 characters will feature in anime eyecatches scheduled for 2027, the top 30 will receive special illustrations by creator Eiichiro Oda for various products, and the top 50 will receive new cards for the One Piece Card Game. Organizers noted that the final ranking was adjusted to account for fraudulent votes identified during the process.
