One805Live! benefit concert raises funds for first responders

The annual One805Live! benefit concert returned to Montecito, California, for its first two-night event. Held at Kevin Costner’s ‘Field of Dreams’ estate, the fundraiser supports local first responder agencies in Santa Barbara County.

The first night featured performances by Motown groups The Temptations and The Four Tops, alongside George Thorogood, Alan Parsons, The Plastic Harpoons, and DJ Samantha Ronson. Actor Chris Pratt made a surprise appearance to introduce The Temptations and honor local firefighters, EMTs, and police.

Founded in 2018 following the Montecito mudflows, One805 uses proceeds to fund essential equipment, emergency response tools, training resources, and mental-wellness programs for fire, sheriff, police, and medical units. Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown noted that One805 has established an ongoing endowment fund to provide sustained support for the county’s emergency staff.
